Quilt in Progress

Here are a few pictures of a rag time quilt I am currently building! It is for an order and is going to be for a baby girl. I loved these fabrics because they are bright, but not too bright as the customer had asked for. Yet they are still fun and full of color. I think she will like them. The finished quilt should measure approximately 48" x 48". So it is a good sized blanket for a baby or small child.

AND YES I HAVE JOINED THE MASSES, I AM NOW ON FACEBOOK. I TRIED TO CHANGE MY USER NAME, BUT I AM NOT SURE IF IT WORKED SO SEARCH EITHER HANNAN LAMBERT OR HANNANA.BANANAS. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU THERE!

  1. Hannan, what size do you make your squares for baby quilts? Do you use a batting or just an extra layer of flanel? BTW, I love your ideas--you are so creative!

  2. Hi, You came up as anonymous, so I don't know who you are. But anyway, for this quilt I made the squares 7", but once they are sewn they end up about 6". I use a layer of batting, but I have used multilayers of flannel which makes for thicker fraying. All depends on what look you are going for. And no quilt is the same.
